|Abstract:||Nanotechnology has dramatically revolutionized the industrial development of new materials in recent years. The continuous advances in nanotechnology, its rapid implementation throughout the industrial fabric, and the high number of nanomaterials used in various industrial sectors, encounter limited knowledge of the health and safety risks that nanomaterials create for workers and workers.|
Now, after great advances in other sectors, the great revolution in nanotechnology is reaching the construction sector and leading to major changes in the traditional methodology of manufacturing building materials. Therefore, there is a need to reconsider the risk assessment and effectiveness of preventive measures normally used in workplaces with exposure to nanomaterials, as well as their effects on health.
The existence of an emerging risk has made the application of nanotechnology-related measures from an integrated, safe and responsible approach a central element of European Union policy.
Appropriate risk assessment of nanotechnologies has become a growing demand affecting all organizations involved in the development and manufacture of nanomaterials.
Experts in this sector can be exposed during the manufacture, transport or handling of products made from nanomaterials through the involuntary release of nanoparticles in industrial processes.
Retraining of professionals in the stone sector is required, taking into account the specific measures to be taken in each process for each type of nanomaterial with specific risks involved.
On the other hand, the stone sector is taking a step forward in its commitment to the environment. Not only with a view to minimizing the environmental conditions created, but also by integrating the general sense of society into aspects of environmental protection and environmental protection.
